Funtime Inc. 2 (Original Song)

Funtime Inc. 2 is a song I originally wrote in 2018 in GarageBand for iPad. After using Logic Pro X for a few months in an audio class, I decided to revisit it for another project and essentially try and remake it with better instruments and make it sound better overall. I first replaced the piano-filled melody with something more synth-sounding, and introduced a new instrument during the bridge. I then added some drums to accent the melody especially in the chorus.
This was my first major music project in Logic Pro X, so the mix is a little rough and wouldn't mind remastering it. I've gotten a little better at mastering since this project, for example with panning and individual track leveling. With this song I tried to evoke the feeling of a creepy and eerie carnival. The cover art was done in Adobe Photoshop.
Multimedia Composition Demo Reel
In Spring of 2022, I took a class on scoring for multimedia, and this video I made combines all the projects I did for that class into a demo reel. The first composition is a scene from Disney/Pixar's WALL-E, I made use of woodwinds and strings to match the tension in the scene. The second composition is for Nintendo's Animal Crossing New Horizons, where I was heavily inspired by one of the tunes from the original game.

The third composition is for Nintendo's Mario Party Superstars, and is also heavily inspired by the original game. For this I used Spitfire brass and orchestral samples and I think it really makes a difference. The last composition is for WWise integration with Unity. Based on an idea I came up a few years prior, I wanted to write something otherworldy and alien, lost on a different planet.
A.I. Generated Music
For this project I wanted to explore the realm of A.I. generated music. I generated many snippets of music from WolframTones of various genres and picked the ones I thought had the most potential to be expanded upon. Next I brought the midi files it outputted into Logic Pro where I expanded those snippets into actual songs with structure. I thought it would be neat to generate some artwork for each of these songs, so I went to NightCafe and put in prompts based on the vibes of each song. I then complied all the songs together into a single video in Premiere Pro.
